What this blog is

D2MG Hip Hop Blog is a quest for Hip Hop enlightenment. It is the thoughts shared by people within the D2MG community to anyone who will listen. It includes a variety of information collected for reference, interest and any other reason relating to Hip Hop culture, and the closely related cultures from which it came from, grew up beside, or inspired.

How this blog came about: D2MG + Hiphop.org.au

I started blogging in 2006 on the sites Hiphop.org.au and Dancing.net.au. Both became quite popular, to the extent that Hiphop.org.au was #1 ranked in Google for the term “hip hop” and I got jobs because of my blogs. Then I opened my dance studio and had to devote more time to study, full time work and running a business at the age of 21. So I quit blogging around 2008 and in late 2009 I had decided to pick it up again now that the studio is running smoothly, and people have inspired me to keep going with blogging. I combined D2MG, the dance studio/community, with Hiphop.org.au and Dancing.net.au and hopefully it will grow to what I had envisioned for my blogs back in 2006.
